Education: It is free but not compulsory at present in Nigeria. The formal education system includes 6 years of primary school, 3 years of junior school, and 3 years of senior secondary school, and 4 years of college.




Food: Common Nigerian foods include: Obe(soup)
 ways prepared can be... a thick sauce made of boiling ground tomatoes, ground pepper, meat or fish, meat broth, onions, vegetable oil or palm oil, and other spices. This particular soup is called obe ata which means pepper soup. Another common food includes gari, ( a grain made from the root of the cassava plant) when soaked in water, sugar and or milk it is used as a snack or to go with beans. Arts and Literature: Nigeria's art dates back to 2000 years ago by some archeological beliefs. Old art found shows very much detail and very destinctive features suggesting technological skills back when. Nigeria has a  rich artistic heritage, including both traditional and contemporary art forms. Nigeria also has many national museums, generally found in large cities and state capitals. The National Library of Nigeria is located in Lagos, as is the National theatre.
Nigerian literature is known throughout the world. Wole Soyinka was the first black African to receive the Nobel Prize for literature.



Sports: Football (soccer) is a national obsession in Nigeria. Nigerians have excelled in boxing and track. other common sports are tennis and wrestling.


Entertainment Industry: It comprises of Nigerian religious festivals, film festivals, dances and music. Also, participating in games or sports activities, watching a good Nigerian movie, and taking interest in the country's literature and art is a big part of their entertainment industry. Clothing: Nigeria's clothing is completely based on Nigeria Culture. There are a lot of ethnic groups and each of them have their traditional dress code. Clothing in Nigeria have a great variety. Important materials for clothing of Nigeria are lace, jacquard, adire, and ankara. Nigerians are also fond of tie and die materials. The clothing for women include buba, kaba, iro, gele, and iborun or ipele. A buba is a loose blouse that goes down a little below the waist. Kaba is basically a single piece dress, which can have different styles.
Clothing for men comprises of buba, fila, sokoto, abeti-aja, and agbada. For men, buba is a loose shirt that goes down to the thighs.
